BOB SHARP - LIMEROCK OUTING, Saturday 6/29, 11:00am - 2:00pm

Limerock Park
60 White Hollow Road
Lakeville, CT 06039

For all those ready to quit your day jobs and become professional race car drivers, Bob Sharp will speak about his experiences on the track and tell you what to avoid!

This will be an informal gathering of Z cars - participants will not race.
This has been THE event to be at for each of the last few years! The drive there and back in your Z is as fun as the day at Limerock.

This track will be used by the Lime Rock Drivers Club and the Aston Martin Owners Club that day. As of this posting date, we believe that there will be no fee to enter the park on this day (but that is never guaranteed). Also bring some extra money to enjoy the Limerock concessions. We believe that when the clubs take a break, Bob Sharp will be able to get us out for one or more low speed laps to get a feel for the track.

For more info about Limerock, please visit www.limerock.com.

I'm really looking forward to this event. I missed last year's and was not happy about it. Bring a friend for a nice relaxing drive and day at the "Park".

Aha! I wondered where those podium pictures were of me and Bryan and Bob and Carol Sharp! First time I've seen them since 2011 :D Made my day!

I fully recognize that was the ONLY chance I'll ever have of sharing the podium with Bob Sharp!

Planning on making it- assuming I can get the 510 back running...

She puked all her transmission gear oil on saturday when the speedo gear popped out. Got her back together and just picked up some new fluid from RDZ. Should hopefully have her on the ground tonight.

I will be coming from Fairfield- so going up 8 to 254 to 63 to 126

Looking forward to the Lime Rock event of Jun 29.
If anyone is interested...My route from Meriden to Lime Rock Park will be I691 to I84 westbound, I84 exit 15 at Southbury Rt67 (at the shopping center), Rt67 to Rt202 at New Milford, Rt202 to Rt45 New Preston, Rt45 to Rt7 at Cornwall Bridge, Rt7 to Lime Rock Park.
Housatonic Meadows State Park, Just north of Cronwall Bridge, on Rt7 offers a good meeting place if a grand entrance is in order. There is a good sized grassy area where many cars can meet and then head north to Lime Rock.
Travel and meeting times TBD.

The plan is to leave the shopping center at the intersection of I84 Exit 15 and Rt 67 between 9:00 and 9:15, arrive at Housatonic Meadows State Park at approx 10:00 leaving on the short drive to Lime Rock Park at 10:30. Arrival time at Lime Rock should be right at 11:00
Please chime in if you plan to caravan. The more the merrier!

I've done a ton of work on my Z and after 150 miles I got a major boost leak and won't be able to make this awesome event. So frustrated.

Wish I could. My 180K Civic Beater Car is giving me troubles too. I'm not going anywhere without a proper fight against aging cars.

Should I pick you up? I guess I could re-arrange my route to swing thru your town.

Hoping the weather is rain free ......(roadster friendly)
I'm looking to take rt. 44 out. We're coming from Tolland so will be going thru Hartford and straight out 44. It's a nice ride. Haven't quite figured out timing yet.

Does anyone have a alternator? I lost my signal lights and in checking it
out this afternoon found the rear side lites and rear lights weak and the vmeter was only putting out 10 @ idle. The new elec. fans draw close to 50amps but even with 1 running still not charging unless engine reved up.
Alt. is hot so it's working hard ....... Too late now to get anything done so I've chosen not to take any long distance chances ....... I'm going to order a 140 amp. alternater, looks like the one on the car is a rebuilt 60 amp 1 wire so it's just not going to handle the load. Once the alt. is on then I'll check to see if it was just not enough power to trigger the flashers. Darn, I was so looking forward to this gathering. Enjoy guys!
This has not been my week for cars. The tranny went on my XJ8 at a mere
204K so that's in the shop also. I think I'll just get the tractor out and cut the grass tomorrow and crawl into one of the giant mole tunnels that developed in the front lawn this week.
