Hi Paul ~ yes, I'm out here. Thanks for thinking of me, buddy. I bought some instrument guts from Seth which he'll probably have in a coffee can somewhere. I just hope he's OK and feeling better from his Fright Night experience last weekend.

My kid's overseas college suddenly cancelled their Summer Seminar courses so she's spending the summer back in the country with us. Can't make it to Rochester this year but I agree with you 100% ~ their weekend is the best bang-for-the-buck experience you can ask for. The comfortable hotel location is excellent, the Finger Lakes roads are as wonderful to drive today as they were when I was a kid in my Austin Healeys or drum brake motorcycles back in the '60s, the chow is excellent and the car show seems to get bigger each year. They always show us a grand time and their perfect balance btwn fun events and personal time shows careful thought and planning. Rochester holds some special personal meanings for me, so the fact that the ZCCR event is held there is a strong draw. I can't make it this time around but I certainly recommend it to anyone who can.

The Rochester show has been blessed with a weekend of high pressure and low chance of rain. They should be having a great time already!

Wish conditions here had allowed me to attend this year. I know some of us are already there and others are on their way.

Frank

OH YEAH! It was our best ever! Blue skies, no rain, hot and dry!

We had over 200 cars on the show field, ranging from a 1931 Ford Model A to a 2014 Nissan GTR. Cars 00006, 00008 and the BSR Sam Posey championship car were displayed along with an original 1970 Mustang Boss 302 TransAm car and more.

Paul represented CTZCC albeit without his Z, no worries, always wonderful to see him.

ZCCA Executive Director Chris Karl's awesome 1993 300ZX TT convertible was selected Best of Show!

Pics will be up on the website soon, look for it!

Next year? Plan on the weekend after July 4, we have some VERY SPECIAL surprises in store! :D

Wow, what a great turn-out! I really wanted to make this one and zee Tom Bork's car up close again (I needed some detail photos for my model) but life seldom works the way we want it to.

I followed your weather forecast and looked at the clock several times thru the weekend, figuring what you guys would be doing at that moment. Can't wait to get up with Paul and hear all the details.

As we Green Bay Packer Backers always say, "NEXT YEAR!!!"

Frank

Well back from a long trip, to an awesome car show in Rochester, down to Watkins Glen to eat lunch at a favorite place and get some wine for the wife meeting me in Bingo, to family in Binghamton, which entailed a whole day at a golf tournament in beautiful Green NY., to south PA for white River rafting on Sunday. So here is my view of the car show...........

This looks like it was very well organiZed, with each car parked in its own category and each category well represented. Somebody spent a lot of time thinking this out beforehand.

What's the 1929-1930 green phaeton 4-door car, pleaZe? Can't read any of the designators.

Frank, that is a 1929 Chrysler Phaeton owned by Walter Miller of Syracuse. He drove it to the show.

While our Motor Fest has a decided Z-Car / Import flavor, we happily accept any COOL cars for display at the show. It's all about the cars and WE DIG CARS!

Paul, great to see you and thanks for the fine props about the show. Everyone, put down July 11-13, 2014 for the next ZCCR Motor Fest!

:D
