My buddy is. I'm still in Bahston until Wednesday. I'll be out there next weekend, most likely.

Must be nice, living in Bahston, eating Lahbstah every day.
I guess the cops finally let you out onto the streets now that the shooting and bombing is done, huh?

Oh yeah, real nice! While I'm here eating all the lobstah my college job can get me (=0), Randy is 1.75 hours away, waiting to get his legs stretched.

Yup, Gov. let us out yesterday afternoon, just hours before the second suspect was seen. My school is 1.5 miles away from where the bombing took place, so everything is pretty eerie around here, still.

Funny your should mention Mike Joy. Have'nt seen or heard Mike for quite awhile. Before his professional announcing days, Mike used to practice by being the announcer at most of our races. We used to rent was then Riverside Park, (now 6 flags) on Sundays and do events. There were about 5 car clubs including CT240Z club involved and we had a great group of people. Mike has an alpha at that time.
The turnpike was one of many cruise and drag locations along with the merritt, Main and Center st. Manchester and many more. We used a place called Two Guys parking lot on the Berlin Turnpike 1 sunday/month, Orange airport, a packaging Co. lot in Agawam all year round. We used to do autox even in the snow back then, early 70's.
I think a summer nite fun run with a bunch of Z's would be great.
Jack.

Hurry up and get that roadster out of hock Jack ~ a cruise night would be lots more fun with you in it.

Besides, you probably know everybody out on the strip, anyway. 8)

Fired it up 1st time Sat. Morning. Monday connector pipes (headers to tail) get made, then it gets run in. It's been more of a project than expected.
I don't know the strip ...... I do know some good charity cruise/show groups
that I'd like to get a group of Z's to this year. Our Vet's wife has an early Z
"original" that I'm trying to get out to a CTZCC event as a new member. She was on our BOE and Council in years past, very active in the community. Just very busy weekends.
Hope to Z you soon.
Jack

I'll be there. Pretty sure I'll be in the Z. Are you bringing out the Z?

Any particular place you'll be?

Bringing the Z. I'll meet where ever. Who's involved in this?
I'm not into any "Z Gang" activity or getting any tickets, or to smear the Club's good name with any hooliganisms.

Cruises tend to be a lot less fun if you end up in jail or the horsepistol, and I'm not anxious to beat my car, either. But it would be fun for a bunch of Zs to gather and cruise from parking lot to parking lot together.

I didn't organize anything, not for tomorrow night at least...I figured that it wasn't warm enough to attract big numbers yet.

I'm not into Z gang stuff either, no worries. I don't race, my best friend who will be there doesn't race either. It's not so much of a cruise but more of a drive, park and talk sort of event.

I've got a few non Z friends that may show up, hopefully a bunch of car talk. Be aware, there will be some "generation Y" tuners/ricers "tricked out honda civics" but there's usually some quality as well.

Let me know if you're still interested. Nothing set in stone, but I think we will be meeting at Taco Bell.

Well, as fate would have it, I have to back out of this myself. I took the Z out tonight to visit a Z friend and the tailpipe hanger broke. We wired the pipes up in his driveway and it got me home OK, but I can't get the car up onto a lift until next week and I don't want to drive around with my $1,000 exhaust wired up.

Next week, certainly.

Frank
