RDZ has invited everyone to join them on March 30, 2013 at Lime Rock Park as they test out the NASA Spec Z race car they have built for our club member Liam Dwyer.

Admission is FREE! The event starts at 9am and is organized by NASA Northeast.

You can get more info about RDZ's build of this 350Z by visiting http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 886&type=3.

anyone want to meet up for a drive there? I'll be home for Spring Break and this is my excuse to finally make it up to Lime Rock.

About time, Patrick.
Let's caravan up together.
Not sure the Z will be ready by then (or the weather), but the Mini would get me there.

Frank

This looks like a great event and I'm all for the group ride to Lime Rock. All I have to do now is get the Z out of it's winter home in Trumbull with a bit of time for sprucing. There is also the problem of Nancy's family's tradition for Saturday before Easter, but that is an evening (supper) event.
If I can work this, the passenger seat is yours if you want it, Frank.

I'm in for the caravan. Can we decide on a meeting place along the Merritt or Rt84 or somewhere inbetween. From there we can plot a course along any of the secondary roads. I'm coming from Meriden.

I might be in for a caravan as well. Depends on a few factors...Frank, after yesterday's rain, and no foreseeable snow, we could be in the clear soon!

Doubt the roadster will be ready. But if the header clearance issues are resolved and the new y pipe connection is fabricated, maybe. If the weather is warm enough that woudl be a perfect new engine break in run.
If I can get the 1st 100 mile run and oil change out of the way, then 4-500 miles of gentle varied speed running with a few blipps are just what the doctor ordered. I'll keep an eye on this thread hopefully will be able to join in.
Jack

I'll try to keep an eye on this thread, but its hell week at school and I've been running on fumes and tend to forget things.

My Spring Break starts next friday so I'll definitely be on here to try and work out a good meeting location for everybody.

But if anyone needs to get a hold of me my phone number is :

(203) Four Three Four 8865

Looking Forward to this

I was able to visit RDZ today and see firsthand what these amazing guys have been up to all winter.

Not only did I get to see Liam's jawdropping 350Z, even more special was getting to see Liam himself.

Liam's spirit, sense of humor and determination are nothing short of incredible. I think the photos below convey far more than I could with mere words.

I am really hoping I can find a way to be there at LimeRock on the 30th to cheer him (and RDZ) on.

That's awesome! Good to hear that he's going to accomplish his goals!

Does that handicap sign also mean this is street legal?!?!

Actually, what it really means is that Liam has an amazing sense of humor...Rich@RDZ thought it would be hilarious to have it in the photo so they grabbed it from another car...

But the car does seem to be "street legal" - at least I hope it is...right after I snapped the photos, Liam climbed in the Z, strapped on his helmet, and took it out on the road for a little coffee run.

OOORAAAHHH! What great shots! This gives me a warm toasty feeling all over.

Liam swore to me from his hospital bed in Bethesda that his intention was to race again, and win. This is a HUGE step forward in that direction.

Liam, we're proud of you, buddy. Your car looks intimidating from out here. I can't wait to zee and hear it at LRP this month. The only thing I can see missing from your Z are your Battalion decals.

GET SOME, Marine.

Frank
