The 7 numbers are lap times in seconds. The bolded one is the fastest. The number that is after the + sign designates the number of cones hit during that run (each cone is a 2 second penalty).

The number under "total" can mean two things. For a "regular" class, it is just the fastest time (the bolded lap time). For an "indexed" class, it is the bolded lap time multiplied by a weight factor that depends on the car's class. Indexed classes are: Street Tire, Ladies, Rookie Stock, Rookie Street Touring, First Timer.

I wouldn't mind adding ballast... I think it'd be cool to even everyone out. Unfortunately probably too time consuming for our meeting though.

Don't worry, picking the correct lines and holding speed in the corners will be much more critical than overall kart weight. A light kart with bad lines will be much slower than a heavy kart with good ones.

Same deal with autocross: my heavy, underpowered Z should always lose to a more modern and lighter Miata, or Scion FRS/Subaru BRZ, etc... but somehow I manage to beat some of them. :D

If they're fair, they'll start the featherweight guys from the back of the pack, and put the leadbellies at the front. The Karts are probably more or less equal.
