I took detailed pictures of these wheels. They are unique, with dozens of brass rivets around the rim, apparently holding the two-piece wheel together. I'm getting pretty frustrated with my computer; it's not letting me release the library of pictures I took at ZCon into the forums. I guess I'll search for the camera programming disc and re-program it. :x

Frank, make sure your files are small enough. That might be your issue.

Just received an e-mail about the official photos from ZCON 2013.

Here is the link:
http://www.highlanddesignstudio.com/200 ... age=thumbs

I am going to order the CD so if anyone wants a specific photo let me know. I won't get the CD for up to about two weeks though.

Well I just now noticed that those pictures were taken by Steve Rossini, the photographer for Nissan Sport magazine. I met Steve during his Lucky#13 photoshoot and would have enjoyed zeeing him again. Probably walked right past him a few times and never saw him. :?

Adam,

The car you mentioned is owned by a gentleman named Greg. We had the pleasure of sitting with him at the opening ceremony and had several discussions with him over the course of the week. He mentioned attending a few of our club events in the past. He also told me we was planning on attending our Fall outing last year but couldn't find the address to Ross' house.

I'm searching for the email address of Terry W. Vollnogle, who showed an outstanding 90+-point 1970 240Z at the ZCon car show on Tuesday.

He lives in NH; does anyone know him? Can you PM me his email or give him mine, pleaZe?

thanks,

Frank T

 Wow!!!
Really proud to know so many of those names personally, and I happen to agree that their Zs are truly outstanding in those categories.

Nice work, everyone! WHOOOOHOOOO!!

Awesome job everyone! But I have to say what a pathetic website. Won't work on the ipad and they didn't even update the information. Still shows them talking about the convention and where to register.

Yeah, it's easy for us to get spoiled here. 8)

Seriously, our Webmaster does such a great job on the CTZCC website, it makes others look pale by comparison. We've actually had other clubs try to borrow (or steal) Jim, to make their websites like ours.

Having our website constantly updated is one of the advantages of being an actual Club, where the members actually know each other and meet for monthly events. Many other clubs have thousands of members, but they've never met each other. They're 'internet' clubs, whereas we're an actual get-together know-eachother talk-together Club. It's a lot easier to keep the website current when friends talk on it every hour of the day.

I can imagine the guys at ZCon are pretty burned out by now. They did a great job and it took a huge effort and lots of prior planning, and we never see anything that goes wrong behind the scenes, but you KNOW something that big can't go 100% according to plan. So those guys are probably breathing a big sigh of relief and are happy to have it all behind them. They deserve to have their nervous breakdowns now and they'll get around to updating their info eventually.

Probably.

Even after one of our CTZCC events (which are tiny compared to what these guys did for ZCon) our Club Officers are very busy for days, counting beans, compiling statistics, paying bills, sending out THANK YOU letters to sponsors and anyone who contributed to the Club effort, and generally cleaning up and preparing for whatever's next. On top of that, Phil has to make time to put the official photos into some kind of order that makes sense and make them available to the members and anybody who curiously visits the website. Members don't see that happening, but trust me ~ it doesn't all just 'go away' when the last guest leaves. AND, our guys all have day jobs too. Whatever they do for the CTZCC is strictly voluntary and pays them not a single nickel. They're all quiet heroes.

Don't judge other clubs' websites by this one ~ we have probably the very best Z site available on the web today, and it comes to us WITHOUT DUES; Jim has quietly paid for this site out of his own pocket since Day One, and has steadfastly refused reimbursement for the past 6 years I know of. Add his duties and responsibilities as CTZCC PreZident, and he looks even more awesome.

Just a few more reasons why we have the best Z Club on planet earth.
