Hey gang,
I'm not sure how many are going Saturday. If you plan on it, please drop a line here to get a count. So far, looks like a good day weather wise...Right Ross?

Thanks John. Yeah, it would be nice to know. I'll have to make a sign up sheet for next year to help out on that. Happy to hear you and Carol will be there along with Alan and Nancy. Ross and Brenda sound like a go along with Gary T. and his co-pilot. Don't forget to bring chairs, warm jacket, lunch and a smile. Could be chilly with a high expected to be 67!
Greg.

Jan and I are in.
We'll be having breakfast at the Gathering in Manchester first. It was Jan's favorite for their multigrain blueberry pancakes when they were in Marlboro off Rt 2. So we'll see how good the new location is . We plan to be there ~ 7:45 ish probably in the the 90 Azure Blue pearl Z32 if anyone wants to join in.

Even though I've had this on my calendar for MONTHS!...my wife's just been called in to work all day on Saturday, so I'm going to have to cut out early and skip Haystack, but at least I'll be there for the orchard. I'll be wearing my tree-climbing shoes so I can get to those apples on top!

Which orchard are we going to?

I understand the Hartford Marathon is on Saturday. :(
My wife Jan just informed me that she noticed a big sign on RT going into Hartford that we should "expect ramp closers and delays between 7 am & 2 pm because of the Hartford Marathon." So this will/may affect some roadways (some closures?) and of course overall traffic flow.
Not sure how this will affect those heading to the meeting point in E Hartford, or our route once assembled. Something to look into and be preparred for ?
 May I suggest that along with a talley/list of who plans to participate, we all also provide a contact cell phone # ... at least for Greg if not publically to/for the group? And I think we all Need Greg's. :?:
Mine is 860-861-2284

Greg, pending what you get in the end , maybe you provide a print out?

Although I won't be attending, I'd be happy to help organize this. If everyone who plans on going wants to send me a PM with the above info, I can organize it into a printable format. ;)

The Excel sheet has been started.

If you're comfortable with it, please send me the following:

Name:
CO-Pilot(s) Name(s):

And if you're comfortable with it, your phone number to which you can be accessed during the run:

Q: Did we ever locate any walkie-talkies?

All,
My cell # is 860-716-9477. I'll be sure to charge it up Friday nite.
I don't think the marathon will be a problem. If so, we'll charge through E. Hartford on our way past Bradley. Keeping my fingers crossed with the weather front. Also, I haven't received my guaranteed report from Fair weather Ross yet. THAT's not good.
Greg.

I found my old set walkie talkies which I haven't used in several + years . :?
I have them charging now (takes 12 -16 hrs), though not sure how long they will last. :?:

I will bring them (hopefully not forget) in case none others show or a spare set is needed.

I might have alternate batteries to put in or bring along as spares (each take 4 AAA NI MH)

Jim,
We are going to Donderos Orchard in Glastonbury. Lots of apples, pears, and (remember gang) cabbage!!! Huge! The cider is good and the rest... you'll have to see.
Greg.
