Friday is the perfect day for me. Nancy is working, grandson is off from school and coming along for the ride. Saturday does not work.
It looks like the total committed is 7 or so. To cut that in half would be disastrous. I think Mike is correct... play it by ear. Drizzle and temps in the 40's+ - it's a go. Lower temps and heavy rain or snow - no go!

I'm trying to hold out a block of time for this on Friday.

Taftville CT has a forecast of 70% rain, high of 48 on Friday.

Hello Brothers,

I wanted to wish you all a very special Thanksgiving with your families and loved ones tomorrow. As sad as it will be for us to experience Thanksgiving without Colin for the first time, I am reminded of so much that we have to be thankful for. I hope you all have a wonderful day and give thanks for the opportunity to be with each other.

Looks like the weather is sketchy for Friday so don't worry about us. Our family has been invited to a private screening in Boston on Saturday of the independent feature-length movie made this summer in which Colin's 72' Z will open the film with a drive over the Borne bridge on Cape Cod. The producer has dedicated the movie to Colin and it will be a very special event for us. John Kenyon, one of Colin's best friends did the driving while I coordinated from the passenger seat with the airplane taking the aerial footage. I will be sure to post a link to the promo for the film once it is available.

I will be back Saturday evening in case you decide to postpone the cruise to Sunday, in which case I will be happy to join you as you approach RI.

Best to all,

Robin Foote

Warm wishes to you and each member of your family, Robin. We'll be thinking of you.

We might want to re-think this schedule, in consideration of the weather and Robin's availability?

Frank

Unfortunately Sunday I can't do only because I'll already be heading to Rhode Island but not in my Z. I'll be picking up my turbo motor then heading back to CT. Regardless of weather Friday I will still make a short drive in Colin's honor. I'm praying the weather changes.

Well rain came early today maybe that's a sign for tomorrow. Cross your fingers.

Mike,

Friday forecast is for rain up to 4pm with snow mix behind the weather front. Not good! Some of the rain coming through looks to be heavy.
My vote is to scrub and try to reschedule. I will keep an eye on the discussion board for updates. This is a difficult time of year to plan any type of road event. Will check weather early am and make final decision then.

Nice try, Mike.

Yeah it's looking like a reschedule.

Mike,

Thanks for the great idea and effort to honor Colin with a year-end drive. Next year when we have our Memorial Garden installed, it will be a very special occassion to have as many visit as possible. Hopefully we can tie it into a fundraiser around the Friday night Narragansett Beach Airshow on June 24.

Best to you all.

Robin

Yea, I see the rain, so is this a wash out, or are there plans for Sat. or Sun. :?: If all else, hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, all the best to Robin and the family, despite the cruise, our thoughts are with you. I do think we should have a memorial drive every year for Colin, so if we can get together and plan something like that it would be a great thing to do, plus keep people aware of Colin's Law every year. Robin, once the movie is out we need to get that in the CTZCC store.

Mike,
Hope the Club will be able to schedule a similar fun run in the spring. It was a good plan and a good route.
Happy winter with your new engine.

Yeah I will definitely try this again in spring. Should be fun with new suspension and a turbo engine.
