A friend of mine had alerted me to a weekly cruise, every Monday, in CT. He said that there were like 500 cars each week, all different makes and models. I'm going to try to get up there before the season ends :( Anyway, here's the site link:

I went to the cruise last night, and there were over 1,000 cars. Can you imagine, on a Monday night!!!

Anywho, when I was there, I learned that if a group, such as the CTZCC, registers with them, they can be the featured group of the night. That entitles them to premier parking, together, and at least one trophy for the group. As an example, the Connecticut Volkswagen Group were the featured group last night.

I believe that you need 15 cars to be at the show, but that should be no problem, hopefully. As a suggestion, maybe we can do a "fun run" to the location and then join the show.

They have a unlimited variety of cars there, good people, and some good food also. The drive may be a little long, but, in my estimation, it was certainly worth it (I would make the suggestion of planning on getting there by 5:30 pm). We got there last night at or about 5:45 pm, and we were car # 309.

Only bad news is that they only have one (1) night left - 09/13/10, this season. :( That being said, in speaking with them last night, they may extend it for a week - to 09/20/10.

I thought I'd throw this idea out to you all, so maybe we can get a group to go. Peace.

Might be a good excuse to gather some members from NYZCC and CTZCC together before the Zeason ends.

Events? What do you think?

Frank

The only date left for this season, as of now, is Monday, 09/13/10.

Weather permitting, they may have one last date - on Monday, 09/20/10, but that is not scheduled as of yet.

Good news folks. It appears that the season has been extended. Maybe we can get a group together for Monday, 09/20. Fingers crossed.
