From Peter Ricardi - Events Director of the NJZCC:

Our 12th Annual Z car show is Sept 18th. Spread the word! Place, Hilton Gardens in Bridgewater NJ.

We suggest everyone try to get to the show early because we expect a very good turnout. Gates open at 9AM. There will be coffee, bagels, rolls, and soft drinks. Lunch will also be available and the Hotel accomodations are great. The first 75 enttries will receive a free tee shirt, dash plaque, and other goodie bags items. There will be 1st & 2nd place trophies in each class. We will combine 260/280Z and 350/370Z class. And, will also have the "BEST IN SHOW" trophy which is also a peoples choice vote.

Note: Again the judging will be peoples choice because we simply do not have enough staff members to judge according to the ZCCA rules. So, Z car members will do the voting. No favoritism please, base your vote on the interity of the car not your friends.

We will have the usual 50/50, lots of raffled items, cash prizes, various awards, bid items and more. Spread the word to local auto shops, newpapers, etc. See all of you on the 29th. Any volunteers to help the Z staff are welcomed. Any questions please let us know.

There is no pre- registration. However, you can print out the registration form out. I'll attached in the next mail message.

Thanks & Z Regards, "Enjoy the Ride"

Kathy and I are hoping to, actually planning on, attending this show.
In fact, Lucky 13 has not been out of the trailer since being relegated
there for acting naughty after the Peoples Choice show at Nashville.

I kind of sense that she had a premonition that she had not received
the kind of attention she deserved, so just like a little kid, she had to
act up. (Lucky 13, not Kathy.)

If we have anybody particularly skilled in ZCar electrical systems who
could help me evict whatever gremlin has chosen to reside in Lucky 13,
I would be grateful for the help on either a voluntary or a paid profes-
sional basis. It was nice being able to drive her around at Nashville
until she got ornery, and I would like to be able to do that in NJ as well.
Except for the "getting ornery" part.

To get a headstart, here are some clues:
1) Brand new battery.
2) Will not start on her own but starts instantly with a jumpstart.
3) Handbrake light lights with handbrake applied, even with ignition
switch in the totally off position. So I intentionally do not set the
handbrake so as not to risk discharging the battery.
4) I disconnect the positive terminal of the battery when not in use to
preclude discharge via some other undiscovered fault.

How did I get into this? Paragraphs 1 and 2 apply to the topic. If
one of the Officers or Admins would help me by transferring Para-
graphs 2 and 3 to the Tech Forum where they belong, I would appre-
ciate it. I am worse at computers than mechanics.

Thanks and All Z Best,.......................Kathy & Rick

I wish I could be there but I'm just too busy and too far away. But someday I will make to the east coast and get to meet some of the great members of this great club.

I believe the facts have changed slightly... I'm pretty sure the 350z and 370z models will be receiving trophy's as separate categories.

This is due to the outstanding turnout in the 2009 NJZCC show from the 370z community.

Seemed pretty much I and Rick and Kathy went with #13 on display, there was a fantastic turnout of 70+ Z cars in attendance... Missed our usual CTZCC folks....... It really was a great show.....

I was there and thought it was a fabulous show. I had a great time and I think the show was generally well received. Clive & Jim Jackson were there also. Rick and Kathy brought # 13, and it received a trophy for the most senior Z. Their truck and trailer combo was very impressive, I must say. It was a two hour drive for me, but well worth it.

The best part of the show, for me personally, was when I met a guy from Rochester, NY, who knew my 280 Z from its previous ownership. Good stuff.
