Here in central CT at 1740 (5:40PM) we have black clouds, thunder without lightning, and very heavy (like one pound!) raindrops, but few of them. The whole mess is blowing west-to-east, toward Norwich.

My Z is staying in this time.

I hope you guys missed the rain shower. I hit it about 5 minutes out, glad I put on the t-tops before leaving. Heavy downpour for about a half mile, enough to try out the 20 year old wiper blades.

It poured on me at just the moment I would have had to leave, and it was headed in the direction I needed to go. The raindrops were so big I considered possible hail and said to myself, "Self, Nope! Not worth the risk".

Hope you guys had a good time; I noticed the sun came back out for awhile just before dusk.

At least some of the dust got washed off,
without having to pay to go thru a carwash.

I don't mind rain as long as the Z is not moving, but while driving, the water gets into all those nasty rust prone areas in the wheel wells, etc.

My Z is not a show car by any stretch of the imagination, this is solely based on my "sheetmetal preservation program". I believe this makes the 3rd time in 13 years it has been driven in the rain.

I was dry all the way.... Great to see my Brake Bleeding Crew out again, Steve, Al, and Phil.... Next week, let's gather more Z's.... I'll remind you all at the Wednesday Meeting at Middletown Nissan.

Made it home dry,but then had to run outside to throw the cover on as it began to pour.
'Sheetmetal preservation program'...good one Phil, I'm very much a believer in that!
