it sure was a great time , even the ride down to the Glen, even what was left of Johns food was good, :P And everything about the show was great, the dinner, and even the camping. Lots of nice rides and lots of great people.

Wow! What a great looking event. Wish I had been able to make it. Too many Z events going on at one time - I'm trying to stay married.

I'll see what I can do to get Kathy to mentor Brenda!
Let's get John T and the ZCCR involved in the process, too.
Talking at some length w/John and his officers, I learned a lot of things.
Principally that every event they stage is designed to the maximum
degree possible to be family friendly and family inclusive.
Not only the wives, but the kids as well. Let's not be shortsighted; the
next generation are the ones who are going to keep this ball rolling!

John has sent us some more really good photos of his really great car show and fast-track-day at WGI.

It still gives me a jolt to zee the Bob Sharp car, the Sam Posey car, the #08 car and Lucky #13 all parked together!

THEN, I look at the 3 Hawaiian 240s and wonder ~ DID THIS REALLY HAPPEN???

This really was history.

Be sure to punch the Random Photo box to zee some other great shots, including some of Paul and Al who attended the SharpSight Motorsports garage exhibit last year. (Nice work, Shawn!)

OK, I have finally crawled far enough out of my cave and into the sunlight of technology to upload the first of my videos from this great event.

Actually, this was the first upload of my videos from ANY event.
It took me FOUR HOURS to figure out how to do this.

This was the shortest of my videos of this great event. The rest of them will probably take me even longer to edit and download. Please be patient.

Yes Frank, it DID really happen! Datsun history right before your eyes!

Thanks again to all that joined us for this great event. I personally invite you ALL to join us in 2011. The final date is yet to be set (we have to wait for Watkins Glen International to set their dates), BUT you can probably plan on the SECOND WEEKEND OF JULY.

The ZCCR Board of Directors is already planning for the 2011 event, with some special attractions and events that will make the weekend even better!

Enjoy the rest of the driving season!

Best regards,

I'm finally back home, the show is still in my mind as awsome. New York is so beautiful, I thank you ZCCR guys for taking us on those back roads, WOW. I hope you all saw all the old cars out in the middle of no wheres for sale, like that early Nova. Then there was that very first Datsun coming up the road.....drawn by horse. :P Thanks John and the rest of your team for such a great time, I can't thank you enough. :D

I saw those people, Paul! I hate to wonder what we did to those poor Amish children. You try so hard to make a life without technology enjoyable, and then a procession of 40+ nice cars drives by and there goes that plan.

Without technology, they have less headaches then we do. :D I love it, but at the same time I hate it. usually when it's not working.

OK, I took a 9min video of our high speed track laps, but it won't come out of my computer and onto YouTube. It's been a month since we did this and it's becoming frustrating for me because it's not cooperating.

A handful of us here in CT have seen the 'missing footage' because I plugged my camera up to a flatscreen TV and showed it at our July meeting. John, if I ever figure out what I'm doing wrong, I'll get you a copy somehow.

Frank

Thanks Frank. At 9 min. I would think it is way to big a file to email. If you get it posted on You Tube, let me know!

By the way, the ZCCR Board of Directors is meeting early next month to set the details on our 2011 event. We've taken everyone's feedback and suggestions and have some great ideas to make the event even better in 2011. Stay tuned for details!

:D

O stop, I have to drive all the way from R.I. :P These great events so far away....well.....just makes me want to make my Z more improved for long distance. First off, need some better seats, the originals just don't cut it when you have back issues, and sliding down the vinyl and the sweaty back. Then cruise control. Having A/C is defiantly a plus, mine works good, but I have plans on improving that as well. Then better rims and tires and get her to ride smoother. So just some of my improvements I'll be working on, because I defiantly want to attend this show again next year with a more improved 240z. That drive from Rochester to Watkins Glen was just pure awesome, I felt so at home, it was so beautiful, that's why the term is, "I love N.Y." :D

OR you can always use a trailer!

:)

Believe me, we have lots more surprises in store for 2011. The event will be THE Z event in the northeast! Plan now to join us, dates will be set next month, but it will be in July!

:D

That's not fun. :D Plus, I would need to replace that NAPS engine in my truck so I could haul such a load. The idea of putting a straight 6 in it sounds like a good idea. Of course it would be the F54 N/A block, N42 head, and just need a manifold for the 4 barrel carburator. Far away project.
