We have just received the happy news that our German member, Thorsten Link, is bringing his family to the USA this summer to meet us!

Thor and family will arrive in NYC just in time for him and his son to catch a plane to Nashville, to meet some of us at the National Z Convention. Thor's ladies will tour NYC until he returns a few days later. I look fwd to finally meeting Thor at Nashville and spending some time with him and other CTZCC members there.

When we all get back, Thor will move his family to the Greenwich area to meet those of us who couldn't make the trip to Nashville.

I want to throw a picnic for them! :D They will be in our state only a few days (2-3-4Aug), then head south to zee the rest of America (and meet Jimbo Frederick and Carl Beck in Florida). I hope we can arrange a big get-together with as many Club members as possible, maybe on the 3rd or 4th of August. Details are being worked out as we speak.

As you know, Thor is a well-known television personality in Germany (and throughout Europe). He moderates a TV "Car Magazine" ("Startklar, Das AutoMagazine"), much like our "Speed Vision" or "Legends of Motorsports". Our Club helped him locate a 1970 240Z, which he bought and imported to Germany. It's special to me that Thor, who is accustomed to road testing all the very best sportscars Europe has to offer, choZe an early Z car as his personal Fun Machine! :wink:

This will be an honor to meet Thor and, because he has become such an active participant on your Discussion Forums (his NEW MEMBER INTRO has more than 3,000 replies!), it will be great for him to meet you and put a face to the all the names he has been communicating with.

Stay tuned for further developments and firmer plans as the date draws near. Pencil-in the word "PICNIC" for the first week of August!

Mannnn, this Club is sooooo cool. 8)
