I'm in the hartford/west hartford area and would meet up somewhere to drive down. There are a few parking lots in west hartford center right off of exit 43 on 84... Lets say the whole foods parking lot?

Sparkman - Not sure which way you're planning on going, but since Newtown is right off of I84, you could always head east on 84 and go through Southington to meet me, and then we can continue on 84 till we hit Rt. 9 and pick up Ramin.

It would be great to do a nice cruise with at least the three of us. Let me know if you're interested. I live right there off of 84. :)

Won't be making it. As much as I'd like to take the Harley down there I'd probably arrive towards the end of it. Not to mention it was a bit nippy in the sun today. I'd be doing the trip back in the freezing dark... :?

Thanks for coming out everyone. A great turnout for a monthly meeting with many new faces. I took a few pictures early on but got side tracked with my hosting duties. I am sure Phil has got some coming...after he finishes his taxes. Let the Z season begin!

I am soooo happy the Z made it. Some new sounds I gotta fix but all in all a success!! Thanks everybody for all your kind words! You guys are all great people and I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this club. I don't feel the Z looks good yet but you guys made me feel like I had really done something special. I could listen to all of you talk for hours(even you Frank..:)..) it was great talking with Rick about lucky 13 and Irv about constant parts buying sprees. Heck I even knew someone in the club from years ago. Small world. Thanks Keith for the gift I really appreciate it. It was like getting an award. I look forward to talking with more of you as time goes on. I'm so pumped I can't even sleep. Well everybody have a good night and thanks again for making me feel so welcome.

It sure was great to zee you come snarling into that parkinglot under your own power, Mike. I know how diligently you've worked on that car and how much it must have meant to you to make the trip all the way out there (and back! :D) for your first meeting. Your Z sounds wonderful.

We had one of the happiest meetings I can remember in months. The turnout was very good, with 49 people who stayed for the meeting after the piZZa was killed off. Three carz had to leave early but I failed to count how many passengerz went with them. I counted 42 carz at one point and intended to go back out and recount them later, but got sidetracked.

It was great to zee so many new faces! We got to meet nearly a doZen of you new-joins who we have been 'e-Talking' with over the winter, so now we have faces to put to the names. And after such a long winter, it was simply a relief to zee all the 'homies' again. This Club is like a big family, and every meeting seems like a reunion. Nobody looked any older, somehow. It must be the carz that keep them young. :)

I took some random shots as the carz began to arrive, but it was hard to capture them all at once. They parked on two sides of the large building and filled two other lots.

Thanks to each officer for doing a 3-minute stand-up in front of that crowd, and to Rick Morgan for telling our new guyz all about his 1969 240Z #13, the first Z car Japan sent to America for sale.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and especially all the new guyz and galz, and THANK YOU for bringing all those beautiful Z cars!!!

But thanks most to our esteemed Activities Director/MerchandiZe Director Keith Hultmark, for hosting such a fun first meeting of 2010 and chooZing such good PiZZa! I'm already looking fwd to next month's meeting!

It was also cool as we were leaving the lot, to hear the Zs beep-out the Morse code for "Z"!

Frank
(__ __ . .)("Z")

It was hard to find an angle from which to capture all the carz or all the people! There are never 'too many' Z carz or 'too many' Z nutz!
