New location for the 3rd and final club gathering for 2009! Perfect way to end the seaZon!

With the club growing at a great rate, we wanted to move the event a little north to give the others a chance to make the event and meet the rest of the NYZCC family. It will be a nice drive for anyone leaving the nyc area and hopefully the weather will be perfect!

This time we would like to give everyone three weeks to plan and get the word out. Plan to be there for the day if you can. There were plenty of Z stories and car showing taking place last time. We will start grilling @ 11:30am. We plan on roping off an area for all the Z cars so come before noon if you would like to park as a group.

FDR State Park
2957 Crompond Road
Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
October 10th, 2009
10:00am – 5:00pm (More than welcome to hang out later than 5pm)
There is a $6 charge to get into the park.

FDR State Park is a multi use facility. Children's playgrounds, basketball courts, trails for biking and hiking...so this is a family approved Z gathering.

Just to be a little more specific as to what NYZCC will provide:

Charcoal, lighter fluid, plates, napkins and condiments.

What someone should bring:

Their own meat/ veggies/ drinks / beans etc...

Please use this link below to get directions from your departing address:

Here is a link to the main web page for FDR State Park

http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/14...ing-there.aspx

You are asked to bring yourself (family is ok), Z (if your Z can't make it come anyway) and food/drinks to be shared by everyone. There are grills in the park, so we shall be making our own food.......hot dogs, hamburgers and anything else we can grill. This should be a great time and I am hoping be can get can about 30 - 40 cars to show up. Come and hang out and meet new Z people and have a great time chatting about cars or playing basketball, tennis, throwing a football around or watching your kids play.

If you have any questions, feel free to email or pm me. If there are any changes before the event, this thread will be updated.

Zya soon.

The rain date for this event will be October 11th same time.

Exact directions in the park will follow soon just save the date!

Yo Clive,

Is that six bucks per person or per car? I was thinking about Zeeing how many people we could get into a VW, I mean Pathfinder, and dragging along a trailer load of Z. And would the Z on the trailer be an extra $6?

It is $6 per car. I am not sure if they would charge extra 6 bucks for the car on the trailer...if they do...I will pay it!

If you are coming for sure, I would like to send an email out to the club confirming #13 will be with us that weekend.

Thanks and glad to see you back in the Z family.

Not sure it would be proper to let 'Lucky 13' travel out of state w/out a club 'Z-scort'. Who's in?

Sorry I can't make this, but my Z thougts will be there. It's my nefews birthday that day, (6) and so it continues each year I try to teach him the value of money as he grows up, and so far have not been able to buy the Z car Transformer toy off him, code name Silver Streak, which is just like my 83. Trading other toys has not worked either. Have a great Z day, hope all is enjoyed. :D

Yo Clive! You too, Frank!

Did y'all get my last message? I don't see it showing up on the thread. I don't want anyone to feel like they're being ignored, especially with the
time constraints we're under.

I didn't get a message, Rick, but I'm planning on going to this and will gladly help you get #13 there if you want to go too.

Okay, thanks Frank, I don't know what this rookie (me) did wrong in transmitting, but just like in basic or in jump school, I'm gonna keep on trying till I get it right. Okay Clive, ya ready to copy?

Looking good, but we're still working out the logistics. Kathy has to work Sat 10/10, but she is trying to juggle her schedule so she can get out earlier. So far she has it backed up to 11 AM; fortunately this is down @ Exit 32/I-95, so a goodly chunk will already have been taken out of the total distance. I figure about an hour from that point to destination, so we should be pulling in a little after 12 noon.

Exit/entrance 32 South would also be a good marshaling point for the convoy since it is easy off/easy on. There is plenty of area at the base of the on-ramp to meet up, out of the line of traffic and out of harm's way for people & Z's. Do you think we'll need CB's or cell phone contact, or can we keep a tight convoy on our own?

Anybody interested in joining us can sign up right here on this thread.
