Calling All Bakerz!

I can't wait for this event! This was the event last year that convinced me to become involved.

As you know this year marks the 40th Anniversary of the 240Z. We would like to celebrate this occasion at our Fall Outing. We thought it may be appropriate and fun to put out this challenge. Now, I realize everyone is not a culinary expert, but I bet you or someone you love, loves to bake!

The CTZCC club will supply all the food and beverages to fill you up in during the October outing. What we need from some of you is a dessert to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the 240Z (Cupcakes, Cookies, Cakes, or Pies). Make sure the decorations or theme of what you bring celebrates the 240Z and the 40th Anniversay. All we need is five or more people to bring a little sweet something.

Please keep your creation a secret to this forum. Send me a PM with your ideas or just tell me what your bringing and I will let you know the participation so far in case I need to ask you to double the recipe.

We'll vote for our favorite design and the winner will receive something from the CTZCC store.

Ready Set, Bake!

Oooo, oooo, ooooo, O' yea I'll PM you Keith. Sweatttttt :D Is there going to be any sausage, peppers and onions, 8) or can we step it up to a pig roast. How about that wish list, just ask me if you need a part, maybe I'll surprise you. :o But I'll bring some things anyways.

*(Or maybe I could FINALLY bring Frank a box of those chocolate Z Cars I promised him for Easter!)

PARTS SWAP!

We all have Z stuff that we know we'll never use again. Why not bring it to the Fall Outing and put it in our free swap area? If you are like me, you'll derive much greater satisfaction seeing it go to use than collecting dust in your garage, attic, barn, house, etc. Maybe you'll also drive home with a part you were looking for!

Both new and used items are welcome but a few rules apply (sorry):

If you bring it and no one takes it - you bring it back home!
No large hard to move parts (e.g. engines or large components thereof)
Items should be in working condition
Please tag items with model and year they fit and your name in case people have questions.

We still need BakerZ and Your Z Photos posted to Member Rides if you have not done so already.....See Details above.

If no one bakes any good 240Z 40th Anniversary treats, I'll be bringing a Fruit Cake I received last December.

Duuuuhhhh, what'Z baking?
The Bible says "Thou shalt not kill," so you wouldn't want me to
deliberately sin, would you??
I'm "Exhibit A" of the person who can burn water, trying to boil it........
The only thing I can "cook" very well is "my own goose"..........

At least I can choose friends and cars pretty well.........

Rick,
What kind of "baking" do you do in your neck of the woods? We don't want any possum in our pastries! :D Maybe Keith should have introduced a rule about bringing a cake to our Fall Outing - no meat allowed! Ross

Hey Keith, I want to go on the 17th or 18th but I would need to take the day off. If I do take it off I know my wife would bake something. Also, I live in your area so if we do go I could help bring supplies down if needed. I would be taking my Tundra. Sorry Z is still apart. I will look for updates. Lata!

I have missed the last two BBQs and was not very happy.

- two years ago I was in St Louis for software training and got bumped from my flight until the next day. I sat in the airport for hours thinking of the fun everyone was having. The hotel bar helped out.

- Last year we bought tickets in the summer to visit to Lisa's family in Chicago that fall. Of course the BBQ later ended up on that weekend.

This year I plan on being there! The only thing that will stop us this time is if Lisa goes into labor (she's at 31 weeks).

Yea, are you delivering the baby. Hope you make it guy, and all is well. I hope the weather men are wrong as usual about Saturday, but in case they are not, I'm ok with Sunday. As long as I don't get stuck eating a sheet cake all by myself. shhhh
