Our next club meeting will be held on Wednesday August 12th at 7:00pm at Chao's Restaurant in Sandy Hook, CT. (1 Glen Road, Sandy Hook, CT 06482 203-364-9393).

During this meeting Tim Murphy will present an update on his 240Z vintage racer project - taking an old street car and preparing it for track use similar to how an amateur racer would have 'back in the day.' Paul Mackin will present a slide show of pictures from the ZCCR All Japanese Car weekend including the visit to SharpSite racing in Rochester (home of many of the original BSR cars) and Bryan Little will make his directorial debut with a short video of our day with Bob Sharp at Lime Rock on July 25th.

As usual, food and soft drinks will be served. Be there! Ross

Confirming my showing up. Also if anyone is a camper, I'll be ending my night at Kettlewood as far as things look. $21 for the night, and shure beats a 3 hour drive home at night. Picturistic too. :D

Robert Maxwell (who recommended this restaruant and knows the owner) will be arriving early to stake our claim to the rear parking lot. All we need is Mike Rosann's trusty club sign and we will be all set!!! Ross

Ross, I just heard from Robert he is working till 6pm and might not get there early. I'll try to head up a little early myself. I am sure Mike will beat me there from Middletown or we'll meet along the way.

Thanks Keith! I will certainly check the bulb - but of course I will probably leave the power cord home! :D

Tonight, Let's see you there. I'll be in my Daily Driver for a change since I tweaked my back on Monday.

Optional reading below:

The Back Story(literally speaking): Had to drive my Z home from work on Monday after my back had a major spasm during the day that left me frozen at my desk for about an hour. After plopping in the Z I almost could not make the reach into reverse, but took a deep breath and went for it, left foot clutch, right foot gas, right arm all the way out to pull in reverse, left arm turnng the wheel, I saw Stars! The ride home was easy - I-95 5th gear 17 miles. The fun part was pulling into the garage and trying to figure out how to lift myself out of the Z with a back that just was not working. After 15 minutes of scooching, sweating, swearing, pulling one leg at a time under the wheel and out the door, and seeing lots of stars as I lurched forward and a pull on the door frame, I got out. Mostly re-couped after taking yesterday off.

Missed you guyz, too! But I thought about you while the meeting was going on ~ as evidenced by the photo of Bryan Little standing at the goodie table with the phone to his ear, answering my call from Virginia to see how the meeting was going! (Honest! Ask him!)

Wish I could have been there to hear all the interesting presentations our Members put on, but I had pressing LIFE obligations elsewhere. This made the second meeting I have ever missed.

Well, someday soon I expect Colin and Colin, Ltd, to present a clip from "The Inheritance" showing their classic 240Z movie debut!

Frank
