Well it’s only about 2 weeks until our annual car show at Middletown Nissan on Saturday September 19th - so time for an official update. I know that there are contingents from the NJ and NY Z clubs planning to attend and possibly one really crazy guy from Atlanta (you know who you are). My guess is that we will have between 60-70 cars in total, which would be a great result for our second show.

Just a few quick items:

* If you haven’t already registered and want to save $5.00 please print the registration form, which is now available under "Upcoming Events" on our home page and mail with a check payable to CTZCC. Registration fee in advance is $15.00 - day of show is $20.00.

Download Registration Form Here -> http://www.ctzcc.com/ShowRegistrationForm09.pdf

* If weather is questionable, please check the web-site for last minute updates (www.ctzcc.com). If no updates are posted, it means the show is “on”.

* Registration closes and judging begins promptly at 11:00am - so please plan accordingly if you are travelling a long distance and/or want to prep your vehicle in the lot.

* For anyone who gets lost on the way or who has other questions / problems, I can be reached on 203-722-3961.

* If you haven’t already been to the dealership, the address is 1153 Newfield Street (Rte 3), Middletown, CT 06457. Check MapQuest or other services for detailed directions.

Hope to see all of you on September 19th! Regards, Ross

Show Agenda:

9:00am - 11:00am Registration and car preparation

11:00am Registration closes!

11:00am - 1:00pm Peoples Choice Judging

9:00am - 2:00pm Raffle tickets on sale
* 50/50: one winner takes half of the money!
* Table: multiple winners choose from table items
* Price: 1 for $1, 8 for $5, or 20 for $10.00

1:30pm 50/50 and Raffle Drawing

2:00pm Award Ceremony

3:00pm Show ends

Awards will be distributed as follows:
* First, Second and Third place in each class
* People’s Choice Award

Suddenly not looking good for our show for myself, my StepDad is celebrating his 97th B-day. His Son will be in from Tennesee for the occasion. It's a family gathering for him.....

This is forming up to become a really exciting event.

We have received confirmation today that the present owner of 1969 240Z #HLS30-00013 and HLS30-00171 will bring both cars for display!

There are preliminary intentions of several dignitaries attending as well ~ John Taddonio, PreZident of the Rochester Z Car Club and member of our CTZCC, wants to bring four Z cars with two members in each; Our member, PreZident of the Sun Coast Z Car Club and avid Z collector Jim Frederick (owner of 1969 240Z #16) is scheduling a flight from Florida, and he's attempting to drag his local buddy, the esteemed Carl Beck, with him. Beck is the PreZident of the world famous Internet Z Car Club website, and owner of some interesting machinery of his own.

As happened last year, we hope to have a convoy of carz from the New Jersey Z Car Club attend, AND, this year, our newest members to the West, the newly-formed New York Z Car Club can attend in some force! The NYZCC is headed by PreZident (and our CTZCC member) Clive "Evil-Z" Bogle, who is furiously working to put the final touches on his own latest 240-V8 masterpiece!

As always, we expect a full compliment of members flooding in from Masachusettes, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and New York (anybody coming from Maine this year??). With any luck we'll also draw a certain faithful face from Georgia again!!!:wink:

Finally, I personally hope to see Bob Sharp arrive in his GT-R, towing his new GT/U replica racecar! It's identical to the 240Z he drove to countless victories in the 1970s.

What EVER you do, folks, BRING YOUR CAMERA!!! 8)

Z y'all there ~

This IS so exciting. :D RI is in. I will pay the $20 at the door, like to give a little extra to such a great club. I'm up for a convoy. Might arive Friday night and stay over, still questionable. Maybe I should start another wish list if we are going to have a freebie table, I'd be glad to contibute. Shoot, I think I'll bring a video camera for this one. :D

Well I wont have the Z there since there isn't an engine or transmission in it, and the wiring is all over the place.

But I will stop by to hang out with you guys. I'll make sure I buy a T-shirt while I'm there! (Read, have my GF buy me a T-Shirt)

OK, so I met with Dave Calabrese yesterday and he is generously offerring the following service FREE to show participants. He has a machine that drains the air and simultaneously inflates all four tires with nitrogen, which apparently is used in racing for its stable properties vs. air. He usually charges $50 for this service. I need to tell him in advance if there is enough interest because he will need to hire someone to operate the machine. So if you are interested please respond to this post! Thanks

Let me just be clear about this before too much excitement is generated. The nitrogen goes in the TIRES. :D
