This message is going to Current and Past Members/Participants of the New Jersey Z Car Club

We have been following the latest Weather Forecast for this weekend. Unfortunately, based on Tropical Storm Danny coming up the coast Friday into Saturday, we have postponed Saturday’s Show until Sunday. (Sunday was our Planned Rain date). We will continue to watch the weather forecast for Sunday (August 30th) to see if we can get the show in. If the weather forecast deteriorates for Sunday, we will postpone the show until September 12th.

I will be sending a follow-up message out tomorrow afternoon confirming Sunday’s planned show. I am sending this message out today because we had several people who were planning on coming to the Hotel early on Friday, and I wanted to give them time to change there plans.

If you have any questions, you can call me at (732) 491-6908.

Does that mean the Caravan is still on for Sunday? Or does Sunday mess a few of us up?

Hopefully Danny will blow out to sea and The show will be on Sunday, The tv news has shown different tracks for the storm, all are at sea but it depends how close it comes... Sat. the 12th would be okay with me also...Just checked NOAA again for Bound Brook NJ and it shows .....Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a high near 80. North wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

I think Sunday may be doable, we all know how to handle a Chamois if a T=storm might pass thru ..

Just checked Weather.com and they are showing a UV index of 8 for Sunday along with a decent forecast, ie, 30% chance of a shower.. UV index for today is a 3 so I would think it would have to be pretty darn sunny for a predicted index of 8... :D :D

Yes, the event has already been pushed to Sunday (see a few posts above). Hopefully it will take place on Sunday. I will post as soon as I hear. Ross

We are continuing to monitor the weather for our Sunday Show (As noted below, Saturday's original date was postponed). The weather scenerio for Sunday, August 30th has improved since the last update so we are planning to move forward with Sunday. If anything changes with the weather, I will be sending out one final email late Saturday.

If you have any questions, call me at (732) 491-6908.

OK, so let's get a caravan going! The show is roughly 100 miles from my house in Darien and it typically takes me 2 hours. For anyone planning to go that is North of me, let's plan to meet at my house at 7:30am. That will get us to the show at roughly 9:30 or will allow us to pick up some others along the way and still get there by 10:00am. Please add to this three if you want to meet at my house or somewhere south of Darien.

Going: Ross Williams

Assuming the Rain Date of Sunday Sticks, Let's Start the List. Meeting at Ross' house in Darien at 7:30am - If you need the Address PM Ross or Me. Same address as the Fall Outings...should be in your GPS Already.

Joining the CT Caravan from the Darien Start:
Ross Williams

We had a great day today down at the NJ show. In total we had 6 representatives of the CTZCC including me, Keith Hultmark, Tom Wasney, Scott Cole, Mike Englehardt and Mike Rosann. Also making an appearance were Clive and Jim Jackson from the NYZCC (we still consider them "our' members!). Tom, and the two Mikes walked off with much deserved trophies while me, Keith and Scott went home empty handed :( . While the weather was a little questionable early this morning, by the time we got to the show it had cleared up nicely and a cool breeze dominated our little section of chairs in the shade. Once again the NJ club did a great job and set a high bar for our own show next month!

Keith - how 'bout some pics??
