There is a car show at Lime Rock Park Sunday September 6th. I think it would be cool if we could get a number of cars together and go in as a club. I e-mailed the track and they welcome clubs so they are all for it. From their web site:
“Sunday in the Park has evolved from what was essentially considered a local car show 27 years ago into a Car Show and Concours extravaganza devoted to automotive beauty, history and diversity. The Park will be engulfed with interesting vintage and historic sports cars, classics, customs and hot rods, woodies, trucks, racing cars, and motorcycles. There will also be marque car club groupings including Morgan, celebrating their 100th anniversary, Porsche, BMW, Corvette and Aston Martin. This is a must see event, and if you would like to show your car, please e-mail vintagefestival@limerock.com for more information.”
Interest?

Wow! What a great time last weekend! (Needless to say...the two fellows I brought along were amazed!) I drove directly from there to Sandy Hook and talked to Elaine, and she is very enthusiastic about hosting us. She said to call her anytime: (907-9781). Her niece Winni (Manager) also knows all about it: (858-6565). I am going down there on Thursday if you or any of the guys want to stop up. (Drinks are on me.) That Limerock car show sounds awesome! (ANY excuse to make that drive...count me in!). Bob Sharp was incredible!! He kept mentioning something about Tuesdays up there. Is that something the public can attend? RDM :D

Alright, so lets have a show of hands, how many CTZCC'ers are planning to attend this event?? Sounds like the weather will be great and who can beat the atmoshere?? How many of you have registered for the event?

I believe I may have entered my Z in a similar event in 2007 and spent a pleasant day viewing beautiful cars with Mike Engelhardt, Tom Wasney and Mike "Atrpi".

I didn't register my Z this year and probably will attend sans Z if I can break away from weekend "chores".

Phil,
Since you were AWOL from the NJ show, I nominate you to fly the club flag at Lime Rock this weekend. Although I already registered, I have been counseled by my significant other that it would be in my best interest not to attend. Given our own show coming up in two weeks, I am going to heed her advice to preserve peace within the homestead. I think Scott Cole is in and Mike Rosann may be on the fence. Let's get some interest going! Ross

Wanna go if my 240 is ready by then. If not, maybe I'll just load the family into the truck and come along anyway.

Like I posted earlier I'm probably not attending the show on Sunday but I'll be there Monday for the races. Rumor has it that Bob Sharp will be there with his replica car.
