Colin, I'll be there. I'll try to wear some Datsun logo stuff so we can find each other and say hello.

I'll be there along with John and Bev Bianchi. We will be on the hill side between turns two and three.

Just got back from LRP about 30 min ago. Ran into membership poobah Frank T. (we had the cojones to park on the back straight) and spent the pm touring the track(which was adorned w/ all sorts of gorgeous iron)the paddock and pits. Had a ball;Frank's got the pics to prove it! Even visited Doc Robbins camp where the Sam Posey 280 was being prepped for tomorrow's race.
racer85 managed to come up w/ a tranny(delivered,no less!) so we'll be cheering him on.
If anyone's on hand,we'll be meeting at the infield restaurant (the one where you guys had lunch w/ Bob Sharp) at 10a mon
Zee ya!

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS DAY! Perfect weather, huge friendly crowd, saw some familiar Z faces and made some new Z friends. Al and I walked the entire course and then zig-zagged around the infield and pits, looking at every car on display. Searched for Scott Cole again but he had left by the time we reached his previous location. His Z was drop-dead gorgeous, the best I've ever seen it. Dropped in on Doc Robbins' pit and scoped out the Posey car (like Al already said) and listened to what his mechanic Shawn had to say about the car (hot stuff!) and just missed Alan Robbins twice. Couldn't find Bob Sharp either (he was judging cars) but had at least seven people tell me "he was just here 30 seconds ago ~ you just missed him".

One of the MANY highlights for me was the chance to finally get to park my #02807 beside a 1967 Ferrari GTB/4, identical to the one I drove in my story about the FORMER PLAYMATE FOR SALE in our GENERAL Z DISCUSSION about a year ago. The paint scheme was all different, but the car was identical. Zee the pictures below.

I put a FOR SALE sign on my 240Z and drew a LOT of attention. My Z and I got interviewed and photographed for the local newspaper and I guess I must have told more than 50 people about the car. It was cool to have that much attention paid to my baby ~ I might do this again!

I also got to shoot the 1939 Mercedes W154 Grand Prix NaziWaggen, which was what initially drew me to LRP this time. MANY MANY other spectacular carz all around the entire course kept my heart at redline all day. I could narrate about each of them but it's better to just let you see some of the ones I selected out of my 4,000 photos. I included a few shots of our new friend at some of the cars because she felt ignored. She had a great time too, but I think she fell in love with big Al.

Everywhere we turned there were breathtaking sights!

File comment: Ginetta finally had enough of her silly shoes and started padding around the circuit barefoot, hinting that she really needed a ride in a Z.
