Ok, here's my final deal, since the camping idea fell threw. :( Now I have to get up real early, about 5am, actually that's normal, but usally sitting in my chair drinking coffee. I'm going via 138 to 95 to Middletown and hope to be there about 7am at Mcdonalds for our pre meeting and caravan. (and more coffee) So Ross, and Al, and who ever else, if there is even a spot to meet earlier and start the caravan towards Middletown, I'm in. One spot is the Mcdonalds on Rt 138 just as you get on 95, or one of the rest areas. Ok, so last minute planning, which I'm good at. :D (and the 83 started up fine yesterday after sitting a month, I love Z cars.)

When I attended casual events like this at Lime Rock last year, I've entered via the main gate. No pass needed. We will be assembling along the concrete barrier on top of the hill by the members club house or "Infield Chalet" on the course map.

Due to last meeting opening in my schedule, I now can attend.

Kevin McCarthy will bring his brown 240Z also.

See you there!

Magnoman-

Phil's on the money - Infield entrance (2nd entrance). Drive past the outfield entrance. Smaller events like this, you'll usually sign a waver at the gate and you're in.

PS - I feel like Lime Rock's my 2nd home as I've been going there for 30+ years...and I'm 35 :D Any excuse to go up there is good.

Cheers,
Colin G

What a great day ! Being a newer member I can honestly say. Its an honor to be part of it. Everyone is friendly, and willing to share their knowledge and life experiences of the Z.
Thanks to Bob Sharp and everyone who made this possible

I remember writing a post at this time last year after just having gotten back from our first "Lime Rock day with Bob Sharp". Back then it was just an idea that we cooked up together - now it is officially a young tradition! If someone had told me last year that this year's Lime Rock day would be even better, I would have said "how is that possible?" But it was. We had more cars (36 in total), more speed on the track (50-60mph), more laps on the track (3 - although Frank swears it was 4 - I think he was delirious from driving his newly road-ready Z behind Bob Sharp), less heat, more of a breeze, more Bob Sharp stories and many, many, many more people!

For the second year in a row, this will go down as one of my favorite summer memories.

Thank you to all who showed up and I hope you had half as much fun as I did!

Ross

Wow - what a day we had at Limerock today!

Thank you *very* much to Bob Sharp, Ross and the great folks at Limerock.

Having missed last year's Limerock gathering, I didn't quite know what to expect, but I must say that this event (lime)rocked. As always, Bob captivated us with his stories, wit and insights. Then we had the rare opportunity to take three victory laps - what a thrill.

We had an amazing turnout and, no doubt, when word spreads about today, we'll have even more next year.

- Jim

I've uploaded the pictures from today's event to the Picasa site.

http://picasaweb.google.com/phil280zxt/ ... 6052513570

I'm disappointed with the resolution on Picasa and will try another option tomorrow. I can send individual pictures out if anyone wants the higher resolution version. Just let me know. I'm thinking Mike E, Jim H and Frank T might be interested in that.

Phil
