hey frank, wasn't snubing you, just woke up in the morning and thought it was a nice day to get dirty. not that it's ever a nice day to get dirty! i have that dam starter problem and changed too many starters, so now we try flywheels! it is easier to pull the motor than the trans and when i saw the motor out i started looking around the garage. i have that new crate motor that i was saving and for what?! the motor was for a maxima so i have to change the pan and oil pickup and drill a new dipstick hole and drill out the fuel pump boss for a mechanical fuel pump. that motor had a front sump and i needed a rear sump. i ordered a new flywheel from darien nissan and away we go!! i need to have this together for the big party at the mansion !!!!! oh, by the way, i didn't see any of you guys up at saratoga today, you missed a fine turnout! there were six fine "z" cars in attendance and my lawn chair, but i was there!! the rest of the cars were wild, brother tom will post pics sometime. drive those "z" cars, there not doing you any good sitting in your garages!!!! mike engelhardt

Hey Mike ~
Does that Maxima engine have a good flexplate and starter on it?
Aside from the 'plate issue, there was nothing wrong with your L26, was there? So you COULD just replace the plate and bolt the original block back into your car, yes?
Frank
