This will be the last update before our show on Saturday at Nissan Darien. The weather looks good, although it is expected to be hot and sunny with a possibility of a thunderstorm in the late afternoon. We have received 25 pre-registrations at this point and have people attending from CT (obviously), NY, NJ, MA, PA and even RI. In addition to pre-registrations, we know of at least another 20 people that are planning to attend. My guess is that before the day is done we will have the remaining New England States represented and surpass a car count of 50 vehicles. Please do not mail any more pre-registrations and payments at this point but instead register and pay at the show. Just a few quick items: • There will be three yellow tickets stapled to each goodie bag. One ticket can be redeemed for either a hot dog, soda/water or bag of chips. So a basic lunch is included with your admission fee for participants. There will be a modest charge for non-participants for food. If hot dogs are not your style, there are deli’s within relatively short walking distances. • It is forecasted to be 92 degrees and sunny on Saturday – so please dress accordingly (shorts!), bring extra water (in case we run out), sunglasses and a folding lawn chair. • We will not move the show to Sunday unless it is forecast to rain during the day Saturday, which as of now, does not appear likely. So the show is ON but feel free to check the web-site for any last minute updates (www.ctzcc.com). • Registration closes and judging (People’s Choice) begins promptly at 11:00am - so please plan accordingly if you are travelling a long distance and/or want to prep your vehicle in the lot. • For anyone who gets lost on the way or who has other questions/problems, my cell phone is 201-966-9984. • If you haven’t already been to the dealership, the address is 1335 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820. Services such as MapQuest can help by providing detailed directions.
