If you know me, you know I'm not a last-minute kind of guy. So planning has already begun for our car show on July 19th. It is shaping up to be a great event. Some misc. things: Do you have "Z" things hanging around your house that are no longer meaningful to you? Maybe a book on a certain generation Z that you no longer own, models, OEM parts, coffee mugs, etc. Since we do not charge dues, this is a way you can help raise money for the club and also see those items go to someone who will enjoy them. Any donations will be included on a table of raffle items, which we will sell tickets for. I personally plan to donate some original Datsun racing mirrors and other items that I have collected over the years but have no use for. Bob Sharp will be kicking in some items from his racing closet. We will also be purchasing some new items to include. So, please let me know if you have anything you would like to donate. At this point we plan to have the following at the show: Raffle for table items as discussed above 50/50 raffle (winner keeps 50% of ticket proceeds) For registered entrants - goodie baq with t-shirts, dash plaques, Bob Sharp freebies and other items yet to be decided Trophies for registered entrants Music Food Plenty of Z's We haven't determined the cost of entering a car but I don't think anyone will drive home thinking they didn't get their money's worth. There is no cost of entry if you do not plan to enter a car for judging. Any comments? Suggestions? |
