OK, here are my suggestions for getting together at LRP on both Sunday and Monday, weather permitting. Since I do not know who all is coming and what routes they are taking I felt that picking a place and time to meet closest to the park would be best.

There is a large parking lot for the Housatonic Valley High School which is located on the westbound side of RT 7 just north of the junction of RT 7 and RT 112. RT 112 is the road which takes you right to the track. I believe that this would be the most convenient place to meet prior to getting into the park. Attached is the LRP schedule for that weekend.

Sunday's car show starts at 10AM, so I would suggest we meet at the school lot no later than 9:30

Monday's racing starts with qualifying runs at 9:05AM. I suggest we get to the school lot by 8:30AM.

I have attached the LRP schedule for the Memorial Day weekend.

My pre-purchased tickets allows me park at the Sunday car show on the track with all the other cars but also allows me to park in the infield for Monday's race. So if you don't have advanced tickets as we mentioned earlier, you may have to park on the outfield lots near the park entrance.

If all else fails, most of us have shared our cell phone numbers already. I plan to be watching the Monday race mostly at a location in the infield sitting facing the "S's" right after big bend about 75 feet down in front of the concession stand, hopefully under a shady tree.

We can also coordinate this during our club meeting on the 24th, so try to make the meeting.

["... at a location in the infield sitting facing the "Esses" right after big bend..."]

also known as 'the Left Hander', since it's the only left turn on the track.

I'll search for the back of your head in the crowd. No problem finding you. 8)

So my back up plan was AL, and we all set as far as a place to stay. BIG question: So the only way we are able to park together for the show or race, we need to Enter together :?: So get to school before 9am.

Hello everyone,

I just looked at the registration for the Sunday Cars and Coffee and I only saw one Datsun 510! I thought I had registered to show my 75 280Z or any other Z - I will have to call them!

That's completely unacceptable.

I printed out my "Speed Tour" receipt which lists the events your ticket package includes and the event for the show is listed as "Hagerty/Cars and Caffeine". I wouldn't worry about it. Mine didn't show up in the registered cars either.

See you guys attending the Sunday show at the Housatonic High School lot (see my previous post) at 9AM. I'll be leaving for the nearby track by 9:10AM.

ZEE U There!

Great last couple of days at Lime Rock. On Sunday the Haggerty Cars and Coffee car show, and what do you know, Al's red 240Z won best in class! And on Monday, we watched 4 Z cars running the track, but best of all we got to run our cars in the track - for a couple of parade laps - but it was great.

Don't forget our next meeting on Wednesday May 31 at 6 pm at County Line in Torrington, more pictures there.

Great pics Juan!

I had a great time with my Z buddies at Limerock this weekend. The car show event Sunday had Juan's, Al's, Paul's and my Z proudly displayed on "Big Bend" where we were continuously met with LOTS of admiring Z fans sharing their Z stories with us.

Congrats to Al for his award! You had to be there to see and hear his acceptance speech. Priceless!

Monday's racing event was terrific, and I enjoyed the added company of having my son Mike and my granddaughter Ava joining us that day. :D During the formula race, we clearly saw a scary accident that had all of us holding our breath after a car flipped up in the air after clipping the wheel of another car just after exiting "Big Bend". It landed upside down on the grass just outside the track surface and what seemed to be an eternity, the driver somehow managed to crawl out from under car, stood up and waved to the crowd, much to the relief of all of us concerned fans! Whew!

The weather was perfect, and SVRA did a great job with promoting the event. I thought it was a great value as did our other members. My granddaughter really enjoyed taking the "brisk" laps around the track in my Z following the other lead Z cars driving right behind the pace car. Great fun for all! On top of it all, you can't take a better road trip just enjoying the sounds of your Z while going to and from the track on some of the most enjoyable scenic roads in CT.
