Hello everyone,
I just signed up to show my Gold 280Z at the SVRA Car Show during the Memorial day Classic at Lime Rock park on May 28.

When you register for the car show “Speed Tour/Haggerty Cars and Caffeine” for $55, it gives you:
-2-passes for Sunday’s car show (May 28) and Monday’s (May 29) featured race day event
-VIP parking
- Touring laps in your car on Monday, during lunch time

Here is the link:

https://svra.com/events/2023-memorial-day-classic/

If you do sign up, pls make sure you put down CTZCC for the group/club.

Pls let me know if you will be attending so we can arrange to meet up at an outside location and then enter at one time. They will not allow us to hold spaces.

Thanks John Kish!

Did they mention whether veterans are still free this year?

Here is another flyer from SVRA which includes a direct link for registration for the two day Sunday car show and Monday races. Still a great deal at $55 for both days, passes for two people, VIP parking and parade laps with your car on Monday's race day.

Let's have a good turnout for this and have our Z's well represented this Memorial Day weekend!

I am in the midst of working towards this. You know that small project that keeps getting bigger, it's like that. I should know better by the end of the week, but I feel confident I will be registering next weekend.

I guess phone receipt will work....next, A meeting place. Also camping info. Do you camp away from the car, next to the car or in the car??? Propane grills, fire pits or pack a lunch or vending. Prep work :D

Hey Paul,

Yes you can camp and grill and even have your car near your camp area. Check out the rules and regs for LRP camping attached. I will not be camping as I am about an hours drive to the track.

I hope to Z you there.

Well dang! Why don't we just 'camp out' at Johnny Z's?
Oh, yeah, I'm in too!
Zee ya there..

Camping at John's, I'm in. :P So about meeting before hand :?: Time and place. I read the camping rules and I suppose the ticket counts as a weekend pass for camping. This part is not very clear. The chances we get camping spots that include the car and keep the club together I hope are good. Or it's in the woods.

You have to book quite a bit in advance to get a camping spot at LRP, they are probably sold out for the Memorial Day Weekend. The sites are not very big, we book one site for tents and one site for Z's. Almost a year in advance for the Labor Day Historics. Years ago it used to be camp wherever in the campground, now you have to have a reserved site.
The Photo is of 4 sites, from the Tundra on the left, two Z's, two tents, two canopies! Yes you have close neighbors!

I plan on attending Sunday's car show and Monday's racing. I will be driving to LRP both days.

For those attending next Wednesday's club meeting in Torrington, we can discuss logistics for meeting up before LRP's Sunday show if we want to park together. Those who won't be at the meeting can use this thread to coordinate their arrival at LRP.

Cheers!

Hokay, so camping is out of the question. For those returning to LRP for the Mon race, thoughts on entering and parking together like Sun?
