I think I spoke of this Car Event in past, and said I'd advise when it's on. Seems I forgot to. My Bad. Especially since IT'S TOMORROW !! & Bright and EARLY. If going, try top be at the gate by 7:30 or earlier... even though it say's it starts at 8. If there at 8, you'll be in a long slow line.

This is the last of 4 for the year, and the BEST IMHO.

The other 3 events/yr are typically on the streets and some parking lots in town (New Canaan), which is fine But the last/end of year one at the park (typically late Oct) makes it easier to see most everything more easily w/ less walking. And there is so much to see. You can take most of it in a few hours. Which is good cuz you'll be dry from DROOLING!

It's a huge gathering with a lot of eye candy! It will be larger and even more varied than Farmington Dream Ride was.
I leave (Lebanon) pretty early (~ 5:15 ) to meet a few friends to caravan and get there < 7 so not hung up in long line to get in. And we typically leave about 10:15 +/- to avoid the hassles of getting out.
I won't be on line to answer and ?'s. So hopefully some will see this, check it out, and enjoy out. YOU WON"T REGRET IT!!!

Though I'll be taking my Gen 2 NSX vs a Z , there will be Z's there.

Here is a tease from last year's event:
https://caffeineandcarburetorscom/index ... ober-2021/

If going, you need to register car to enter. I think they do it to get a head count as I think here is a limit ( though it's a large number). I registered a few days ago. And unlike Farmington PG, it's all at ZERO cost.

Understood- My Bad

The C&C event was MEGA HUGE!!! (Largest turn out to date)
I did some search and seems they are misquoting the attendance. (to keep out of trouble with town limit).
just before leaving I spoke with a worker who said he hopes they don't get in trouble as they actually had over 3000 cars. Well over agreed limit with the town.
We arrived early at gate at 6:50 and there were a number of cars parked (and many staged from the day before) there already. Technically it starts at 8 but I've learned to be there much earlier.
The cars were continuously coming in till a bit over 10:10 when they had to close the gates since park was (over) filed

I did find this video one guy put up already. It gives just a very small sample of the event.
I'm sure there will be more, plus one (pix and vids) which C&C posts by their own assigned photographer

hope this link comes through. If not, do some surfing.

I had to take some family members to the Westchester County Airport Sunday morning and noticed a large number of pretty exotic cars traveling in both directions on the Merrit Parkway including the latest model of Ford GT that zipped past me while I was driving my "exotic Honda CRV". I also spotted an AC Cobra possibly broken down :( on the southbound Merrit just short of making it to the New Canaan exit.

I'm glad you enjoyed the event Gary. Too many cars and people for me though.

Cheers!

I headed down to the C & C Sunday morning with one of my high school Buds in the TR3.
Little dark and chilly when we headed out, got there and sat in line for a half hour plus just trying to get in.
Once into the Waveny Park grounds there was a ton of cars and people, so many exotics in every direction.
You're right John, the cars were spectacular but very crowded.
Clip fromĀ an online article this morning and some photos, impossible to get photos of cars.

Bummer on your delay in. As I stated, if not there REAL EARLY you'll in a long line for along time. I was at and driving through the gate about 6:50 and parked plus out of the car before 6:55.

Happy to see they had some Masers there, and I have seen that blue Delage OTS at Lake George. The owner let his son drive the car to his highschool prom.

If I'd have got more than a 10 hour advance notice, I'd have attended.

Frank,
Here are some videos on You Tube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veyVAcQ4sIk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiwiwja72QQ&t=3s

On entering the park there was quite a crowd taking photos and just watching...As we pulled in someone yelled out "How the hell did you two guys get in that thing"!
Pretty funny, he should have seen us trying to get out of it!
Things do get a little stiff sitting in open British roadster in the cold for a hour or so!

Thanks Colin ~ now I spied a few S-30 carz and two lovely little AH 100-4 Roadsters.
I am really captured by that custom black peak-nose car with the 1956 Oldsmobile front bumper and '56 Corvette shark-tooth grille!
