For those of you who have never attended this event or stopped into the museum, I highly recommend that you put this on your bucket list. I visited the Fall Festival with Colin a couple of years ago and more recently on June 26th, attended a terrific car show there. I loved each visit   .

Attached is the CAMA Fall Festival flyer including their website which is worth checking out. If anyone is interested in "caravanning" with me starting from the Ansonia, Derby, or Shelton CT area, please let me know. I have not yet decided on which day to go as I will decide based on the weather forecast closer to the event dates. I am planning to take the Z on this scenic road trip.

What day are you thinking of going up there? I've been hearing about this great place for years and I'd really like to see it.
Frank

Truley a fun event to attend. I suggest we touch base just prior to the event and pick a date based on the weather forecast. Anyone that wants to caravan with us from the area of RT34 and RT15 (Merritt Pkwy) please let us know. We usually meet at the Heavenly Donut on RT 34W about 1/3 mile west of the Parkway.

I'm good with that. How far do you think it is from the donut place?

Here is a photo of the event flyer as opposed to the link provided earlier.

Here is the link to the CAMA website for more information on this wonderful museum. The admission fee for the festival is only $10 which all goes towards maintaining the museum and its machinery. This has become one of my favorite places to visit in CT from both the location and the scenic drive to get there.

I hope to see some of you club members there!

It looks like Frank and I are going to the CAMA Fall festival on Saturday. The weather looks good for tomorrow, not so good on Sunday. Anyone wanting to caravan along with their Z cars from the valley area can meet us Saturday morning at the Heavenly Donuts on RT 34 W in Derby CT. We depart no later than 10AM.

Cheers!

Well, it was just my son Mike and I from the club that made it to the Fall Festival this past Saturday. We took my '71Z to the event and enjoyed the scenic ride up RT 67 through Oxford, Southbury, Roxbury and into New Milford where we hung a right onto RT7 North towards Kent. We arrived at the Fall Festival just after 11AM as did many other visitors. The displays included all sorts of running and static machines including antique engines, tractors, sawmills, steam engines, pumps, generators, cars, trucks, cranes and just about anything that needed power to work. Some of these were manufactured back in the late 1800's, most in the early 1900's. There is also an interesting mining museum on the property which traced the history of what was once a popular industry in our state, especially copper mining. The whistle from an operating steam locomotive giving rides to the visitors could be heard every now and then from anywhere on the grounds. Very cool!

The Z ran great and we even got some thumbs up  from the folks attending and from passers-by on the road. Always enjoyable! Great Day! :D
