Colorado Springs was announced at ZCON 2020 as the next destination. It was a real bummer to miss the 50th but if we just forget this year ever happened and focus on the next ZCON we can call that the 50th. :? My Z is only 48 years old anyways. :P Me and the wife are planning the road trip already. I'm taking the long way out up buy Lake Superior down to Rapid city, meet family in Wyoming for a camping trip, then to Denver where they live, visit family, then to the Springs, visit family, and then to the Hotel. A drive up Pikes Peak is a must, especially in a Z. There also is a trail on Pikes Peak named after my Uncle who passed away in 2017, he's like a local Legend. I know it's a long drive, but who's in :?: It's next August, so plenty of time to think about it.

ZCON 2021 will be the first one I will be able to attend post retirement (I retire next June. I won't be driving my Z but may enclose trailer it or just go out without it. Looking forward to spending time with CTZCC folks and others that go!

I'm going to Maine next week to buy myself a new car trailer. I believe an open trailer will be the best fuel efficient for me. I bought a truck camper last month, but have to do a test run in the spring with car on trailer, and camper on to see how it does. After doing the math of what the truck can do I will be right at the max amount of weight. This is the price I pay for owning a Cool looking Tundra. If I needed to haul any more I would have to get a 3500 Diesel, Dodge with the Cummings of course. If I feel sluggish, then we will stay in Hotels and bring camping gear for a little camping experience. We are still taken the north route and coming down from Wyoming. We are hoping to meet my cousins and family in Wyoming for their yearly camping trip. This will mark off one from the bucket list.....thanks to ZCON.

Anyone else planning to attend ZCON in Colorado Springs in August?

I'm considering going with my son Graham. We would fly out.

Ross

Well unfortunately I will be backing out for a good reason or 2. We are going to be Grandparents about that time. Grand Daughter Penelope should be about 2 weeks old when zcon is going on. So I didn't want to be selfish and go without the wife and reason 2 is I have a actual tax paying job, (to support those non-workers) at a Toyota/ Nissan dealership. I just deliver paperwork and pick up cars which is fine with me, I work hard enough at home.....but Hey, I'm affiliated with Nissan. I also figured in after the long drag of sadness the last 4 years of my life, I'm going stay local, take it easy, go camping, boating, get work done around the house and spend it with family. A few trips to NY, then Florida in October. That includes my ctzcc family, so when the 240 is finished I'll be at the next meeting. Rack and pinion and all new front bushings and a front seal....figuring June. I am hopefully looking forward to next years ZCON, my Z will be 50 years old then, but depends on where it is........Hopefully Rhode Island.

I will be attending ZCON in Colorado Springs next month with my son Graham. Attending for a full week has always been on my bucket list and now that I am retired, it's time to do it!

Will I see any of you there?

Ross

Welcome to retirement, Ross! You've worked long and hard to earn this leisure; enjoy it. It was hard-earned and long overdue. Brenda will be beside herself with the joy of having you home every day.

Colorado is too far for me; I had trouble just hoping for Tennessee. If we move farther inland someday, this might become a possibility. I think Carl Beck and Jim Frederick are going this year, so you'll zee at least two CTZCC members.

I find it ironic that within weeks of retirement you move to the ocean, but vacation in the Rockies!

No moss on your stone.

Frank

My son Graham and I attended ZCON in Colorado Springs this past week. We had a wonderful time of bonding over cars before he heads to college on September 1st (Bryant University in Smithfield, RI).

It's hard to convey how good a time we had but I'll start with this video.

Graham is a passenger in the yellow car and I am filming from the black car. I'm an "old school" guy who gets excited about seeing OEM hardware in a Series 1 engine compartment. But the experience captured in this video was one of the most fun things I've ever done!

I hope you enjoy watching it. Turn up your speakers!
