So, how did all this go? Hope everyone had a blast.
Vinny fixed my brakes on Saturday (replaced the MasterVac booster, after the right size and year was found), but not in time to road test the car or prep it for the show. The power brakes work again, but the pedal is low (not a fluid problem) so it needs re-adjustment before I am confident with it again.
I might attend Monday's races sometime in the day. I guess it's the best I can hope for this year.
Frank

Well, I am happy to say that I had a great two days at LRP this weekend. On Saturday, I attended the race day with my son Mike, his daughter Ava and Lauren, her new room mate from college who had never been to a racetrack before. I took a couple of pictures that day, the first one with my granddaughter smiling ear to ear sitting in a 1933 Plymouth racer that raced later that day. While walking the infield, we got to meet a bunch of people including Mike Distefano, LRP's Business Development Manager who extended the discount to our club. Jim Kinsella and his family stopped by to chat. We stopped by Collin the elder's and Colin the younger's campsite and chatted with their family as well as Devon and his buddies at their campsite. We also stopped in to see Jake who was racing the #88 240Z car that day. He ended up coming in 8th after narrowly escaping an accident on big bend that involved the #33 Bob Sharp Z and a notchback Mustang. The #33 Z was able to continue finishing the race, but the Mustang had to retire. I believe there were three Z cars in that heat.

On Sunday, the weather wasn't as nice, with intermittent rain popping up during the entire day. That didn't stop the many interesting collections of cars and car people from showing up however. Lots of great cars to see. LRP arranged for our cars to be located at the chicane by the "uphill" portion of the track, directly across from a bunch of Citroens. Lots of people we knew and many we didn't know stopped by to say "Hi" to us and look at our cars. Tom Wasney, Paul Jensen and his family, the 2 Colins', Skip Ewing, Harold Burroughs (NE club) Juan Marcos and others showed up. We had 10 Z cars and a 510 in total. Nice showing guys! I took more pictures during the day between the showers. See if you can identify the Z cars and 510 and their owners.

Today looks like another great race day. I won't be there today but I hope many of you have gone to enjoy the festivities.

Great pics John, thanks! Wish I could have been there for Saturday.
I got in free and spent the best part of today watching the races there. Saw Mike Destefano about 4 times, always busy but we got to chat briefly. He said he enjoyed Zeeing our guys on Sunday.

Searched the infield for any sign of the CTZCC but I guess they had already stuck the camp and moZied homeward. Saw Jake Clapp's green Fairlady Z racer (which you had photographed on Sunday) but he was not near it and I never found him. Walked all over the circuit and the pits and had a generally good time. Climbed up into the tower and watched the end of the races from there.

There were more than a dozen concession sands left on the infield (near the Chalet) but they were breaking down to leave as the day went on, so they gave away what food, water and beer they had not distributed. Plenty of courtesy golf carts for taxis but my pride made me hump the track without them. My hips are getting better each day.

While I didn't get to do everything I had hoped for this long weekend, I did get my brakes back and spent a day watching many classes of races for free, both in beautiful whether.

Really looking forward to Thompson.

Frank T

Great weekend weather at the Lime Rock Historics, all but the Sunday Concours...just a little bit damp. Rain drops and fog on the camera lens.First some photos from the Thursday afternoon parade, a ton of vintage race and street cars on closed roads for about 17 miles. Our Z's were surrounded by lots of beautiful vintage sports cars. The parade ended in Falls Village for a large street party. The second group of photos is from the Sunday Concours, Our fearless leader John Kish really pulled the Z group together. John arrived in his beautiful 1971 240...note the similar body lines to the silver Ferrari.

Great photos Colin!
I really have to try to make the Thursday Parade next time. That looked like lots of fun. Thanks for sharing.
